we are liars when we say we love each other

we say forever and mean whenever its convenient 

and when it stops being convenient

we'll throw each other away with the garbage

we're damaged goods

and thats about it

the sky doesn't open up

the angels live only in books

the sensation is only chemical

and the new toy feeling fades

the worst part of it all is admitting it to yourself

we're on our own, all alone

and we foolishly try to be together
