lie down

this is where we lie when we need to lie down
when the knees give out, i can see the horizon
lie as in lay, or lie as in tell
i can never tell
its warm where it hurts
and the smell opens me up for something i'll regret later
at this point im too shaken to ask
but i dont think i would under better circumstances anyway
walk with my head down
tracing distractions
hoping the eyes wont watch for long
im not that important
i just feel a little too hurt to go home
and i wanna know if its ok with you to stay
cause i dont wanna be alone
